The Oli Epp Studio Residency, London 2018
I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who took the time to make a submission for my studio residency. I was absolutely blown away by all the talent and the number of amazing entries. I received over 200 applications!
Due to such amazing entries I have decided to rent 3 studio spaces each month.
I am delighted to announce that my Summer Studio residency will be awarded to the following artists below:

Please don’t be disheartened by this choice. I am no art critic. I simply loved their proposals and they were able to dedicate the most time to the residency.
I plan to offer a ‘one month’ residencies every year so do stay tuned and keep in touch!
This is an open call for artists of any background, who want to develop a creative project in London, England, this Summer - whether that be paintings, sculpture or installation. This is a residency for a 15²m studio in Central London. Please note, this residency is for a FREE studio but with no accommodation.
I am offering 6 'one month’ residencies this Summer for:
-Two artists for the whole of June each with a 15²m studio (From the 1st to the 30th of June)
-Two artists for the whole of July each with a 15²m studio (From the 1st to the 31st of July)
-Two artists for the whole of August each with a 15²m studio (From the 1st to the 31st of August)
Each artist will also receive a one-on-one tutorial with both:
-Rosalind Davis, artist, curator and author of 'What They Didn't Teach You In Art School'
-Danny Lamb, Assistant Director of Rod Barton
The residency will begin on the 1st of each month. I’ll be here on the 1st to welcome the selected artists and show them around the building and introduce them to a few friendly faces. The studio is based in the heart of London, at The Koppel Project Hive, just minutes from Chancery Lane and Farringdon tube stations.
The image above showcases a shared studio space 60²m. It has been divided into 4 spaces, two of which I have rented for this residency.

Deadline for applications: Midnight of the 17th of May 2018 (SUBMISSIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED)
The recipients of the residency will be announced on the 18th of May 2018
How to enter:
Email me on firstname.lastname@example.org with the following:
1. A couple of sentences on what you plan to make during your time on the residency. (100 words max)
2. How it would benefit you? (100 words max)
3. How many days per week you would be able to commit to the studio during your time on the residency?
4. A brief outline of your practice. (100 words max)
5. A selection of 6 images of your work. (either via email or WeTransfer)
6. If you have a website or an Instagram account please attach links.
7. Your preferred month/s. (e.g. 1st choice August, 2nd choice June, unable to do July)
7. Please write ‘Oli Epp Summer Studio Residency’ as the subject line of your email.
You will receive an email within 48 hours stating that your application has been received. If you have not received a confirmation email within 48 hours, please feel free to contact me again.
Open from 9am - 8pm Monday to Friday
10am - 6pm on Saturdays
10am - 4pm on Sundays
The studio will be closed for one day on Bank Holiday Monday on the 27th of August
Duration of days for the residency: 1 month
Number available : 6
Toxic products are not permitted due to limited ventilation
Turps will need to be substituted with a non toxic solvent etc.
The studio is located on the second floor. Unfortunately, there is no lift and therefore no wheelchair access.
